| Abstract: | Chigoza pine (Pinus gerardiana Wall.) naturally grows in arid mountainous regions in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It has little demand for soil fertility, and is capable of growing on exssively dry, barren hill-side with shallow soil. Its distribution,biology, ecology, usage and management were described and the feasibility for its introduction to China was discussed. |
