试析建国前美棉在我国的引种、推广及其历史启示

Analysis on the Introduction and Spread of American Cotton before the Founding of the People''''s Republic of China and Its Historic Inspiration

This paper was about a few remarkable characteristic stages that American cotton's introduction and spread had experienced before the founding of the People's Republic China,i.e.the initial stage of lacking scientific methods and measures which was advocated by government apparatus,non-government organizations and persons with breadth of vision;the stage of scientific experiments and domesticating American cotton which was initiated by non-government organizations and academic apparatus;the unified spread stage of well-conceived plan which was headed by Nanjing National Government.Therefore,the support of scientific power and government's systematic arrangement were the key to introduce and spread new varieties of crops successfully.
