Abstract: | In two dogs with pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism, adrenocorticolysis with o.p'-DDD led to the disappearance of the signs and symptoms except for the polyuria. After a modified water-deprivation test the osmoregulation of vasopressin release was studied by hypertonic saline infusion. In both dogs the hypertonicity, thus induced, resulted in very minimal responses of the vasopressin secretion. |
