摘    要:长江上游长约4500km,流域面积约100万km^2。本区域地理条件特征。水力、矿产、动植物和旅游资源部十分丰富,具有巨大的经济发展潜力。近几十来,由于本区域森林植被遭到严重破坏,垦殖率不断增高以及对资源的不合理开发利用,致使长江上游地区生态环境日益恶化,水土流失不断加剧。在长江上游地区自然生态系统遭到严重破坏的同时,也给长江中下游地区带来了巨大的危害,改善长江上游生态环境和防治水土流失,是实现流

Abstract:The upper reachesof Yangtze river is about 4500km long and has 1,000,000km2 catchment. It has aspecial geographical condition. Its resources of water power, minerals, fauna, flora andtravel are very abundant, and the area has a tremendous development potential ofeconomy.In the past recent decades, the ecological environment and soil and water loss aremore and more serious in the upper reaches of Yangtze river resulting from strong damageof forest and vegetation continuous reclamation of wasteland and unreasonable developmentand use of resource. The natural ecological system of the upper reaches of Yangtze riveris strongly destroyed, at the same time the huge danger is also brought on the lowerreaches of Yangtze river.Improvement of ecological environment and control of soil andwater loss in the upper reaches of Yangtze river are the key subjects which are concernedwith the sustainable development of the catchment.
