| Abstract: | The present paper deals with 6 species of Macromia collected from China. Among them a species is described as new to science and M. malleifera Lieftinck ♀ is described for the first time. All the types of specimens are kept in the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History. Macromia Yunnanensis sp. nov. Figs 1～3 Male: Length of abdomen plus anal appendages 50 mm, hind wing 40 mm. This new species is similar to Macromia chui Asahina 1968, but differs from the latter by the following characters: 1. Smaller size, with hind wing 40 mm; 2. superior appendage and inferior appendage same length; 3. distal one-third of posterior hamule slender and sickle-shaped, the preceding posterior widening of the hamule evenly convex in side view. Holotype: ♂, 1984-viii-25, Yunnan. Xishuangbanna. |
