Abstract:Sclerotinia stem rot of soybean caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary is an important disease in worldwide distribution, which seriously threatens the safe production and fast development of soybean industry. In order to effectively prevent the occurrence and development of Sclerotinia stem rot of soybean, this paper summarized the latest research on the pathogenic biological characters, disease cycle, pathogenesis, disease-resistant breeding and integrated control of sclerotinia stem rot of soybean. It pointed out that the most important task is to excavate the superior resistance resources and explore the mechanism of interaction between soybean and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. The study would lay a foundation for developing an effectively integrated control management strategy.
