数字图书馆中Web of science数据库的解读与应用

摘    要:ISI(Institute for Scientific Information、科学情报研究所),为世界著名的学术信息出版机构。Web of Sci-ence是ISI建设的SCI,SSCI,A&HCI,CPCI-S和ISSHP五大引文数据库的Web版,涵盖了自然科学、工程技术、社会科学、艺术与人文等领域。重点解读了Web of science数据库内容、主要功能、使用特点和全文获取途径,并就Web of science数据库在科研工作中的应用潜力进行了阐述和拓展,试图为数字图书馆发展和信息生态持续提供重要参考。

Abstract:ISI, the abbreviation for Institute for Scientific Information, is one of famous publishing houses all over the world. Web of Science data is the Web version of five significant information quotation such as Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), Conference Proceedings Citation Index -Science (CPCI-S or ISTP), and Conference Proceedings Citation Index -Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-SSH or ISSHP), which expands many fields like natural sciences, engineering technology, social sciences, arts and humanities. In the present paper, it mainly focused on data content and important functions, as well as usage features, and available formats for acquiring full text. Meanwhile, it also discussed and explored application potential of Web of Science data in sciences research and development. These findings will provide meaningful references for digital library and information ecology development.
