通识教材《世界农业文明史》编撰的缘起、内容和展望

中国通识教育方兴未艾,通识教材百家争鸣,科学史理应扛起通识教育的大旗,《世界农业文明史》正是在这样的背景下应运而生。本教材是农史在南京农业大学的一次实践,是暗合中国传统文化、培养学生文化自信的尝试。该教材纲举目张,共分十章,以全球性为经、以专题化为纬,不仅全面综述了前人的研究成果,更瞄准学科前沿有所建树,同时图文并茂,知识性与趣味性相结合,以研究世界农业文明的特点、传播、演进、动因、影响机制以及与各种社会因素之间的互动关系为旨趣,开该领域教材编写之先河。

The Origin,Content and Prospect of the General Textbook History of World Agricultural Civilization

China’s general education is in the ascendant with many general education textbooks published, and the history of science should be involved in. It is under such background that the History of World Agricultural Civilization came into being. This textbook is a practice of agricultural history in Nanjing Agricultural University, which is an attempt to conform to Chinese traditional culture and cultivate students’ cultural self-confidence. The book is divided into ten chapters,outlined by themes of globalization and thematization. It not only comprehensively summarizes the previous research results,but also aims at the frontier of the discipline to make achievements. At the same time, with pictures and texts combined with knowledge and fun, the purpose of this book is to integrate the characteristics, dissemination, evolution, motivation, influence mechanism of world agricultural civilization and its interaction with various social factors, serving as a pioneer in this field.
