新疆棉花品种问题及解决途径

新疆棉花品种自建国以来引进和自充４０余个品种，进行５次换种，但没有一个内地品种能适应新疆的生态条件。自１９９４年后，内地品种在经济利益的驱动下，良莠不分，一涌而入，至１９９６年已达顶峰，现全疆种植面积在１３３３ｈｍ＾２以上品种达３０个，造成品种多，乱，杂，严重影响了产量和品质。

A Problem of Cotton Varieties and Way to Solve it in Xinjiang

More than 40 varieties of cotton have been intreduced from the interior of China into Xinjiang since New China was established. But none of them can adapt themselves to the ecological conditions in Xinjiang. This is because that all the varieties were introduced in a large number from 1994 to 1996, regardless of good or bad ones. Now cotton growing areas of 30 varieties reached 1 333 hm 2 in mixed and disordery conditions.That produced a serious impact on both production and qualities. That results main cotton producing areas in Xinjiang and cotton varieties cultivating areas in the interior of China. So the introduced varieties can not adapt themselves to the ecological conditions in Xinjiang.
