The Prospects of Effective Management for Mulanweichang Reserve in Hebei Province

Mulanweichang reserve is a best region of forest conservation in northern Hebei mountain, mainly being composed of deciduous broadleaf forests and their vertical distributional types; going northward, gradually transiting to the steppe region. It can directly play role in preventing sands blown by the wind and resisting sands from arid area for Beijng and Tianjin, and guarantees water requirement of channel water from Luanhe River into Tianjin city. It may be seen that it has an important values in biodiversity conservation and sustainable use. The paper simply deals with some problems of these aspects for related departments.
