Abstract: | This paper describes the history, examination and clinical findings in a riding horse with a gait abnormality. The lesion was localised to the carpal area of one of the forelimbs, but could not be properly characterised until post mortem examination, when a diagnosis of a traumatic neuroma of the medial palmar nerve could be reached. Thus, the most plausible explanation for the gait abnormality of the horse was found in the peripheral nervous system. |
