Abstract:By the means of electron microscope. the surfaces and sections of almond shell > charcoal and activated carbon have been studied. The great changes of sample microstructure morphology after activation process with steam have been found. It has been proved that the activation process with steam can delete disorganized carbon,such as tar,and make the pores open and unimpeded.The process also has the function of enlarging the original pores and generating new pores.
