Global Warming and Tropical Forestry Response Strategies

Basic situations of greenhouse gas emissions caused by tropical deforestation in the world are briefly presented. And possible response strategies are proposed from three aspects-sustainable land use, reforestation and forest protection. The author assumes that the most rational strategies are population restricting, economic promoting, and reasonable and efficient using of forest resources which will slowly curb deforestation in. developing countries. The author warns that the. positive contribution of forests. on the earth: to CO₂ emission equals to the negative one in the long run, we should not expect too much from forests.
