摘    要:西瓜G17AB雄性不育两用系选育成功,为广泛利用西瓜杂一途径和简化杂一制种手续开辟了新的领域。G17AB系为一对隐性基因控制细胞核不育类型,育性分离稳定,自身农艺性状良好,配合力强,可直接配制杂一组合,亦可转育成新的不育材料。该两用系用于杂一制种,可提高杂交种纯度,节支省工,经济效益较大。

Abstract:The newly developed watermelon dual-purpose, male sterile line G17AB opens up prospects for wide use of F_1 hybrid and for simplification of F_1 hybrid seed production. G17AB is controlled by a pair of recessive genes in the nucleus. It is characterized by stable sterility separation rate, good agronomic performance and marked combining ability. The line can be used to form various F_1 combinations and to create new sterile plant materials. In seed production, it increases the purity of hybrid seeds, reduces costs and yields better economic benefits.
