Jiangsu Province recent forest resources two kind of investigations respectively are in 1989 and in 2009 complete, two phase of investigations both gained the detailed forest resources data, the author through the comprehensive contrast survey result, from the forest land area, the forest planted the structure, standing crop, the age group structure, the species composition, the forest resources quality and the round-off work and so on 7 aspects had reflected objectively the entire province forest resources dynamic change present situation, and analyzed the forest resources area, to store up thoroughly with Lin Zhong and so on main factor reason for change, summarized the entire province forest resources change characteristic： （1）The forest resources swift growth, the Jiangsu forestry realizes the leap frog development;（2）The forest quality promotes largely, the forest carbon collects the obvious enhancement; （3）The afforestation tree seed is unceasingly rich, the forest plants the structure tends to be reasonable;（4）The afforested difficulty increases day by day, the afforestation cost enlarges unceasingly.
