Abstract:In order to understand the effect of different ratios of low protein and amino acid balanced diets on growth performance and nitrogen balance of weaned piglets, 96 Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire weaned piglets with an initial weight of about 9.8 kg were randomly divided into 4 treatments, each treatment was the corn-soybean meal diets(20% CP, 19% CP, 18% CP, and 17% CP)containing different protein levels were fed, and the amino acids in each treatment group were consistent with the requirements by supplementing synthetic amino acids. The formal test period was 28 days, and the growth performance and nitrogen balance index of weaned piglets were measured. The results showed that when the dietary protein level was reduced to 18%, it did not affect the growth performance of weaned piglets, and significantly reduced urine nitrogen, fecal nitrogen, and total nitrogen emissions(P<0.01). However, as the dietary protein level further decreased at 17%, the average daily weight gain of the piglets was significantly reduced(P<0.01), and the feed-to-weight ratio was significantly increased(P<0.01). The total nitrogen emissions, apparent nitrogen utilization rate, and nitrogen table of the 18% CP group and the 17%CP group, there is no significant difference in biological titers(P>0.05). It shows that the addition of synthetic amino acids meets the needs of weaned piglets, and the dietary protein level is reduced to 18%, which will not only affect the growth performance of piglets, but also reduce nitrogen emissions and reduce environmental pollution.
Keywords:Weaned piglets  Synthetic amino acids  Growth performance  Nitrogen balance
