Abstract: | Summary The rapid social and economic changes in recent years have enhanced the development and availability of a large number of industrial and agricultural products. Such activities, in turn, have greatly increased the amounts and volumes of organic wastes and residues. It is important for Chinese scientists to know the types and amounts of waste materials produced each year and, if suitable for land application, utilize them as soil conditioners and fertilizers. Such information with respect to China is reviewed and discussed in this paper. |
