| Abstract: | The materials of sandlwood are very fine, the sandlwood is utilized for a long time in China. At peresent, various fake sandlwood which is difficult to be identified by ordinary customer lies in the timber market. The sandlwood can be classfied into three main categories: yellow sandal, padauk and sanders wood, with contemporary worldwide plant classification system by historical tradition utilization. The paper mainly introduces the classification, material property, utilization, structural feature and identification of sandlwood in order to help reader distinguish truth from falsehood of sandlwood. |
