Status and Development Trends of Wooden Door Industry in China

The wooden-door manufacturing industry in China has been growing rapidly during the recent years.The annual production of wooden doors in China was about $5.8 billion with about 12% exported in 2007.The status,product classification,standards,marketing and quality control systems of China's wooden-door industry were discussed in this paper.Industry consolidation,technological innovation and product consistency are among the major concerns.It was recommended to increase product-brand awareness,improve product quality,and to develop a standard system.
