Abstract: | Because of the continuity of phenotypic variation,it is not possible to dissect individual quantitative trait loci (QTLs) by traditional Mendelian method.DNA molecular markers discovered in early 1980s have been extensively used for estimating genomic positions and genetic effects of individual QTLs,namely QTL mapping.Statistical analysis is one major step for mapping QTLs.A brief review was given about the main development of statistical methodology for QTL mapping since the 1980s in this paper. |
