Abstract:The effects of scale irrigation(25,30,35,40,45 m3·667 m-2) on yield,MDA,soluble sugar,soluble protein and proline content,activities of SOD and POD were studied in this paper.The results indicated that the yield of scale irrigation 30 m3·667 m-2 treatment was the highest.The yield of scale irrigation 25,30,35,40,45 m3·667 m-2 treatments reduced 24.2 %,9.1 %,10.9 % and 13.3 % respectively compared to 30 m3·667 m-2 treatment.There was no significant difference between scale irrigation 25 and 30 m3·667 m-2 treatment.The content of MDA,proline,soluble sugar and soluble protein in leaves of pepper plants in scale irrigation 20 and 25 m3·667 m-2 treatment were higher than that of 30 m3·667 m-2 treatment,while the SOD activity in the period of flowering fruit and the POD activity of pre-harvest senescence were lower than that of 30 m3·667 m-2 treatment.That demonstrated that the plants suffered from the physiological effects induced by drought stress.The treatment of scale irrigation 35,40,45 m3·667 m-2 had a higher content of soluble sugar and a lower content of soluble protein than that of the treatment of 30 m3·667 m-2.These indexes showed that inhibition caused by too much water for physiological of pepper plant.
