| Abstract: | It is shown that humus loss may reach 1.7 t/ha per year as a result of plowing of leached chernozems and erosion development. Distribution of underground phytomass in uneroded and eroded chernozems and slightly aggraded meadow-chernozemic soils of dissected areas in the Cis-Salair region is analyzed. It is shown that an increase in the degree of soil erosion is accompanied by a decrease in the total phytomass reserves, whereas the average depth of the root zone increases. |
