NUTRITION DEFICIENCY AND FERTILIZATION OF PASTURE IN THE SOUTH CHINA

Nutrient deficiency is one of the causes of pasture growth restriction and herbage yield reduction. This limitation could be overcome through proper fertilization according to symptom diagnosis. The plant symp-tom caused by deficiency of N, P, K, S, Mo, Cu, B and Zn, respectively, was described and the cor-respondent fertilizing programme was proposed. It is suggested that relative data should be collected compre-hensively to help diagnosing the plant symptom and to establish soil fertilization programme properly. These included the fertilizing practice, the nutrient requirements of the plants, the utilization and management of pasture. the soil chemical analyses and the experimental results.
