Analyses are made on the differences between abstracts used in databases and those used in primary journals. The form of abstract is determined by the first sentence of abstract. The first sentence of abstract also supports the whole abstract. Chose which elements in the primary report is the key to make its better abstract. Some examples of the structures of first sentences used in abstracts are presented.
