| Abstract: | Great changes were observed in the ultrastructure of cells in the leaves of cotton affect- ed by carmine spider mites(Tetranychus cinnabarinus(Boisduval)).The organelles seemed disintegarted,the chloroplast membrane became incomplete or disappeared,the arrange- ment of the grana lamella seemed in disorder,and the starch grains increased in number.In some cells,only a few fragments and membrane-like substances and starch grains remained. |
