| Abstract: | The effect of genetic homogeneity on rice variety resistance break down was studied by re inoculating the tested rice varieties such as Funong 709 with the conidia of reproduce from rice variety Funong 709. Results showed that the pathogeneicity increased in isolates from Funong 709 compared with the original isolates. The isolates also gained the pathogenicity to some other varieties.Thus, the Funong 709 can be taken as a "bridge variety" in rice variety resistance break down. |
