Abstract:This article explores informational resources and basic search strategies used to locate documents for practicing evidence-based avian medicine. It discusses selected databases that are available for locating articles and documents relating to avian health, which would include companion birds, avian wildlife, and birds maintained in zoological collections. Tables are incorporated to identify which electronic databases contain specific avian journals and subsequent number of avian veterinary documents appearing in each listed publication.
