Abstract:The changes on activity of some protective enzymes in maize seedlings having different major resistant gene under Ht-toxin [a pathotoxin produced by Exserohilum (= Helminthosporium ) turcicum ] stress has been studied. The experimental results indicated that the activities and increase extent of SOD and POD of compatible group (B37Ht1 × isolate 381 toxin)increased more rapidly than that of incompatible group (B37Ht2 × isolate 381 toxin). The same change trends have taken place on the content of MDA after half an hour under Ht-toxinstress. Further research need to be done if there were remarkable differences on content or once. of superoxide and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) among different groups.
