红锥切根育苗试验研究

通过红锥切根、沾灰育苗试验，分析成苗率、苗高、地径、主根、须根及枝、叶等一系列苗木数量、质量性状的差异。结果表明：切根能使红锥苗木主根变短，侧根部位提高，根系发达，苗木地径和苗高明显增加，生长旺盛。但切根也在一定程度上降低了成苗率。

A Test Study on Growing Seedlings for Castanopsis hystrix by Cutting Roots

A test on growing seedlings for Castanopsis hystrix by cutting roots and staining with ash was carried out,and the differences of a series of properties in quantity and quality such as percentage of adult nursery stock,height,diameter,main root,fibrous roots,branches,leaves and so on were analysed in this paper.The results showed that cutting roots could shorten main root of nursery stock,raise the position of roots on the side and make root system developed so that nursery stocks had vigorous growth in form that diameter and height increased significantly.Although cutting roots decreased the percentage of adult nursery stock to some extent,the method is suitably used to provide instruction for cultivating strong nursery stock of C.hystrix .
