Study on the enrichment effects of Chinese mitten crab on enrofloxacin among different edible parts

Abstract:To comprehensively investigate the effects for edible parts in crab(Eriocheir sinensis)(crab leg,crab body,gonad and hepatopancreas)exposure to enrofloxacin(ENR,a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug),this study carried out the experiments including blank group and three test groups(blank control group,50,500 and 5000μg/L of enrofloxacin).The results showed that the enrichment coefficient of ENR in edible parts was negatively correlated with ENR exposure concentration in water environment,among which the crab body presented the highest enrichment capacity.The accumulation of enrofloxacin in each edible part firstly increased and then decreased with the passage of exposure time,which was positively correlated with the exposure concentration in the aquatic environment.The crab body presented highest accumulation in three different concentration groups with(33.02±2.21),(185.04±16.58)and(1013.90±45.74)ng/g.Besides,the main ENR degradation product of ciprofloxacin(CIP)were detected in three test groups,which was positively correlated with the exposure concentration of ENR.The hepatopancreas were the main site for CIP production,and the residues of ENR and CIP in Eriocheir sinensis presented certain gender differences.The accumulation of ENR in different edible parts of Eriocheir sinensis and the production of metabolite CIP were researched in this work.The results provided a reference for the rational use of antibiotics in aquaculture of Chinese mitten crabs.
