| Abstract: | Statistical analysis of the data in a study where marked rice plant estimation and fieldplot experiment were made showed a significant relationship between sheath blight(Pellicularia sasakii)incidence of spring-sown rice and the yield of its ratooning plants.This disease seriously affected the survival,elongation and grain yield of the latent buds ofthe rice.Therefore,sheath blight should be watched out for and controlled if a satisfactoryyield is expected from the ratooning plants of rice. |
