Through investigation of several municipal academies of agricultural science,we discovered that municipal academies have played an important role in innovation of local agricultural science and technology.They have accumulated a number of successful practices and experience in rural economic and social development services.Under new circumstance,municipal academies should lay stress on following orientations: serving the main task of local work,highlighting their own advantages and characteristics,being active for searching more support,strengthening collabora-tion and joint action,and further strengthening the internal vigor,and so on.So they can give full play of their functions.
