Abstract: | Soil solutions displaced from Antrim basaltic soils were analysed for major inorganic constituents. The solutions were nearly saturated with aluminium and phosphate but not sulphate. Iron concentrations were greatly in excess of ferric hydroxide solubility. The solutions were less concentrated than those described for soils of Britain and the U.S.A., representing a leaching environment. |
