高校公共外语课教师提高业务素质途径的探讨

本文结合我校实际,就高等院校公共外语课教师同专业课教师合作,翻译科技文献,不断提高业务素质的必要性及可能性进行了初步探讨,着重论述了采用这种方法对于促进外语教改、提高教学质量的作用,旨在为高等院校公共外语课教师提高业务素质探索出一条行之有效的途径。

DISCUSSION ON THE APPROACHES TO IMPROVING LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING

In close connection with the existing situations of this University,the paper deals with the necessity and possibility of improving the language proficiency of foreign language teachers through the translation of scientific and technological literatures in cooperation with professional teachers and technological personnels. Also,the paper discusses the importance of the adaptation of this approach to promoting the reform of foreign language teaching and improving teaching quality with the objective to probe into an effective way to raise language proficiency of foreign language teachers in the institutions of higher learning.
