| Abstract: | The accumulation of compatible solutes is a widespread response that may protect plants against environmental stress. Introduction of the synthesis pathways of compatible solutes into plants could increase the tolerance of some plants to abiotic stress and the roles of compatible solutes in stress tolerance can be analyzed. |
