Abstract:In the artificial inoculation experiments,the number of eggs per plant was significantly dif-ferent among host genotypes.There might be some specific chemicals in the water extraction and ethanol ex-traction from N3562 leaves which prevented adult oviposition.In the natural innoculation experiment,the difference of pupal weight among host genotypes was signif-icant,indicating the presence of antibiosis of soybeans to the insect. Furthermore,there also existed signifi-cant difference on the maggot count in stem,in petiole,and in whole plant,as well as on the ratio of mag-got count in stem to that in petiole.The diversity of maggot count among host genotypes in whole plant,inpetiole,especially in stern became further obvious with delaying of date for inspection.
