论传统文化对中国近代科技发展的负影响

中国是个具有5 000年历史的文明古国,自秦汉以后中国的科学技术在世界上处于领先地位,但15世纪以后中国科技发展速度逐渐缓慢,使中国的科技领先优势成为历史。而西欧国家的科技发生了飞跃式的发展,工业革命率先在英国展开,使人类步入工业化时代。以儒家为核心的中国传统文化,对中国古代科技发展曾经做出过巨大的贡献,但随着时代的推移,到近代以德为重、重农思想、小农经济等中国传统文化思想对科学技术的负面影响逐渐凸现出来,逐渐成为科技发展的阻力。

Negative Effect of Chinese Traditional Culture on the Development of Modern Science and Technology in China

China is a civilized and ancient country with 5 000 years' history,its science and technology had been leading in the world since Qin and Han dynasties,but had been very slow after the 15th centaury.While the science and technology in western countries had a mutational development,the leading advantages of China's science and technology was ended.The industrial revolution,which broke out in Britain first,becomes the start of modern civilization of human being.The Chinese traditional culture had played a very positive role in the development of ancient Chinese science and technology,but the Chinese traditional culture with "Confucian Thought" as its center such an agricultural center thought,petty farmer economy has played the negative role in the development of modern science and technology.
