摘    要: 作者等前此报道[3],应用国产生药白砒或紅砒,在播麦前一个月左右,以种子重0.01-0.05%的用量,照普通粉剂处理麦种,对于多种麦类黑穗,特别是小麦的腥黑穗和秆黑穗有良好的治病效果。而对于麦种的生理却無不良影响。但是1954年秋,江苏省望亭们作試驗場采用0.05%的标准用量結果;竟因遭逢异常的秋旱,播种前后天久不雨;麦种子極端干硬粗大的土塊中經24天后,在畦沟間灌水,才行萌茁。

Abstract:In a previous paper,the authors presented the results of an extensive study on the use of arsenic (As2O3) as dust fungicide to treat cereal seeds for combating various smuts,especially the flag smut (Urocystis tritici) and bunt of wheat (Tilletia spp.).It was emphasized that seed injuries are avoidable,provided that the treated seeds are stored under cool and dry conditions.For the purpose of understanding more thoroughly the proper way of applying this violent chemical,work has been continued in the East China Agricultural Research Institute,Nanking,concerning the complicated effect of dosage and soil conditions on both the safety for seeds and the toxity to pathogens.From the data obtained recently,conclusions could be drawn as follows.
