Abstract: | Fungicides were tested for activity against Chalara elegans, in culture, in artificially infested soil columns and in field experiments. Propiconazole and etaconazole were the only two fungicides which performed well in all tests, and provided effective control of blackhull of groundnuts in the field. The most effective treatments in the field were etaconazole foliar spray and propiconazole granular treatment applied over the plant row at planting, providing respectively 64% and 46% disease reduction in comparison with the untreated controls. |
