| 摘 要： | 功能等效原则是西方功能翻译理论的核心,文中结合功能等效原则，从语义对等、句法对等和文化对等3方面分析了标示语汉英翻译中存在的功能失效问题，并提出了一些相应的解决办法。

| Abstract: | Equivalence, being the core of the western theory of functional translation, plays an important role in Chinese - English translation of sign words. This paper studies function failures in C - E translation of sign words from the angles of semantic equiva- lence, syntactical equivalence and cultural equivalence, and proposes some corresponding solutions. |
