Uptake and removal of mineral nutrients by rice plants from seeds subjected to preplanting air thermal heating and manganese enrichment

Preplanting treatment of seeds by heating and enriching them with manganese increases rice grain yield by 4.0–7.8 cwt/ha. Plants from such seeds take up and accumulate more nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. In this case, their harvest removal increases but expenditures on the formation of 1 cwt grain don’t increase, which indicates the efficient use of nutrients.
