| Abstract: | A 14-year-old neutered female cat was presented for a second opinion regarding hair loss, anorexia, and lethargy. Examination revealed alopecia of the ventral chest, abdomen, axilla, and groin. The footpads were encrusted. The liver was enlarged and nodular. Investigation revealed an enlarged liver with multiple nodules, and small and atrophic hair follicles. Paraneoplastic alopecia due to hepatocellular carcinoma was diagnosed and subsequently confirmed postmortem. |
