Bacitracin is a kind of polypeptide antibiotics.It can promote the animal growth,improve the feed conversion ratio,prevent and cure a variety of animal intestinal diseases.Furthermore,it has many excellent properties,such as no residue,no withdrawal period,no drug resistance,no toxic side effect,and safety to use.Bacitracin has been widely used in animal production and feed industry.The brief introduction on the physicochemical properties and characteristics of bacitracin,application and research progress of bacitracin productions in animal feed was reviewed.Moreover,the market and application prospect of bacitracin in feed were discussed.
