| Abstract: | This paper introduces the production, development and practices of the new technology for tree length allocation and transportation on railway in the Soviet Union,and gives some views in the light of China's specific situation. The authors think that consideration should be given to applying this new technology when plans of forestry technical reform and development are worked out in the future. |
