Gene is the national resource that should he taken strict precautions against loss. By the analysis of current view and practice at home and abroad, we take it for granted that China should provide legal protection of gene intellectual property and gene technology patent to advance gene technology industry. We also should protect our gene resource and prevent it from loss.
