| Abstract: | The concentration of four heavy metals (copper, zinc, cadmium and lead) has been measured in a number of shellfish collected from coastal areas of Scotland. For three shellfish (lobster, crab and scallops) details are given of the distribution of these trace metals within the individual body. The data collected permits only limited conclusions to be made regarding geographical variation. |
