西瓜新品种‘红和平’

 ‘红和平’为高产抗病优质杂交一代西瓜新品种。全生育期100 d 左右，果实发育期30 d。果实圆球形，果面绿，覆深绿齿条带，有蜡粉；果肉大红色，中心可溶性固形物含量11% ~ 12%，肉质致密，口感好；单瓜质量4 ~ 5 kg，果皮韧，耐贮运；易坐瓜，耐低温，中抗枯萎病，产量42 t · hm^-2 左右，商品率高。

A New Watermelon Cultivar‘Hongheping’

t‘Hongheping’ is a new generation of hybrid watermelon germplasm with high yield，resistant to disease，and superior quality. The shape of fruit is spherical and pericarp is green with greenish black stripes on the surface which was covered with wax powder. The flesh is deep red，fine and close，delicious sweet. In normal conditions，the soluble solids content ranges between 11%–12% and the average weight of single fruit is 4–5 kg. So，it is better quality，beautiful appearance，long distance transportation and good merchandise. The whole growth period is 100 d and the fruit development period is 30 d. The plants are resistance to blight and tolerance to low temperatures. The yield under filed condition is up to 42 t · hm^-2.
