Abstract: | A seven-month-old collie and a four-year-old Jack Russell terrier were presented with coughing and dyspnoea of varying duration. A peripheral and pulmonary eosinophilia was detected in both dogs. After ruling out heartworm disease, lungworms, fungal pneumonia and drug reactions, a diagnosis of pulmonary infiltrates with eosinophilia was made. Dramatic relief of clinical signs, radiographic infiltrate and peripheral eosinophilia occurred after administration of glucocorticoids. |
