Abstract:Results of the observation are as follows:During meiosis thecytoplasmic division of the microspore mother cell carries on in successionand the arrangement of the microspore tetrad shows stauro-crossing on the sameplane.The mature pollen grain is 2-cells and the tapetum is secretory type.The ovule is anatropous and nucellus is tenuinucellate.The obturator produ-ced from funiculus exists in the polar near the micropyle;a cap-like hypost-ase appears in the chelaza polar.The development of the embryo sac is alliumtype;each mature empryo sac contains 7 cells and 8 nuclei.The filiformapparatus of the synergid is obvious and reveals positive reaction with peri-odin acid-schiff.
