| Abstract: | The author discovered a new record species of bryophyto in China, which is pogonatum hexagonum Mitt., from the samples collected in Hainan Island by Mr Gao Qian et al. This species belongs to Pogonatum genus, Polytrichaceae family. The most evident characters of this species arehexagonus capsule and big apical cells of thin wall without concave. So it is believed that this species is differentiated from Pogonatum neecii (C.Miill) Mitt, and P.junghuhnianum (Doz. et. Molk.) species. |
